In 2008, TORDON cooperated with Qingdao University to focus on the research and development of truck brake drum and brake disc made of vermicular graphite cast iron. Through continuous testing, it successfully solved a series of problems such as cracking of ordinary gray cast iron, low tensile strength, poor friction resistance and poor thermal fatigue resistance.
Since 2012, the research and development and testing of truck brake drums in the United States market have been carried out. According to the lightweight trend of American trucks, and in combination with the broad geographical location, complex climate, vehicle type differences and driver's habits in the United States, Tordon has made further improvements in its products, and has successively developed a full range of truck brake drums and brake discs of American models such as 3600A to further adapt to the characteristics of the United States market. Through many years of testing in different road conditions such as mines, highways, mountains, etc., the effect is obvious and has received the favor and recognition of customers.
